Walk Longdendale 29/10/2017

In addition to the published program Graham B. led an extra walk around Longdendale. From the free car park near Padfield railway station we went NE along the Longdendale trail to Deepclough. Crossed Rhodeswood reservoir dam, crossed A628 then followed path to Lads Leap. NNW across Rakes Moss bog and heather to trig point 541M, lunch. Then NNW again to Chew reservoir, W to Chew Hurdles, SW over Wilderness, Ormes Moor, Boar Flat, Arnfield, SE  Tintwhistle, here we stopped for a drink at the Bulls Head pub. S over Bottoms Reservoir dam back to Padfield. 9 regular members plus 4 from meet up did 11 miles on a very clear sunny day tempered by a north wind on the moor tops.
