John H. hosted SWOGs monthly visit to Stockport Market Place meeting at 20.00hrs in the glass house to listen to the band then at 21.00hrs at the Petersgate Tap.

Peter H. led a Wednesday evening walk from Nelson Pit car park at Higher Poynton E. then NE. Lyme Park, W. to Macclesfield canal return. 9 members braved very rainy weather. Some went into the Boars Head pub afterwards.

Cancelled... Chris H. had planned to lead the walk but with a very poor weather forecast, no members or meet up people turned up for the car share, he did not get calls from anyone going direct so he went home.
The decision was later proved correct, the weather was horrible, heavy rain and low cloud all day!

At 18.00hrs Janet M. arranged a meal at the Baan Phad Thai restaurant in Reddish and then after that a pub night at the Grey Horse 11 members had the meal and others joined us at the pub.

02/07/2023 R. Graham B. led a Sunday walk around the Goyt valley practicing navigation points and bearings from a route created by Joe Brown CBE. 11 members enjoyed a dry, windy, occasionally sunny day. 11 miles.
