Walk Mersey valley 28/08/2019

At 19.30hrs 28/08/2019 Chris & Janet H. led a Wednesday evening walk from the Crown Pub Heaton Mersey W. along the river Mersey to Didsbury then E. along side the Tram Route back. Some stopped at the Crown pub for a drink afterwards.

Graham B led a walk from Heatherdene car park at Ladybower W. up and over Win Hill, Hope cross, Lose Hill , S . Hope, E. near to Bamford return. 7 members and 1 dog enjoyed a warm sunny day 11 miles

Walk Marple Bridge 14/08/2019

In a change to the published program (due to the closure of the Sportsman at Strines) Harvey and Helen B. led a Wednesday evening walk from Marple Bridge N. along river Goyt, Compstall W. along the river Etherow, under and onto Marple Aqueduct S. back to Marple Bridge. Some went to the Norfolk Arms afterwards .

Walk Hilbre Island 11/08/2019

Jack M. led a walk on The Wirral from Caldy church to West Kirby then across the sands to Hilbre Island return. After the walk some went for a meal. 16 members & 2 dogs set out but 3 more members joined us on Hilbre Island. A wet start improving as the day went on.

Walk Gawsworth 08/08/2019

Chris and Janet H. led a Thursday walk form Gawsworth church. There were lots of lakes, meres, fishing ponds and canal sections on this walk.  7 miles, 9 members + Sue H. joined half way round, lovely warm day.

Walk Bradfield 04/08/2019

John E. led a walk from Bradfield near Sheffield. W. Following the Sheffield country walk past Dale Dike Reservoir, Strines Resr. Moscar house, Derwent Moor, N. Derwent Edge, at Bradfield Gate Head we turned E. to Strines Bridge, Brogging W. reservoir North shore at Blindstone lane retraced back to Bradfield. A warm humid day wa enjoyed, 1 short shower at about 1pm, 12.5 miles 8 members 1 dog. Everyone went to the Plough inn at Bradfield and sat outside.
