Walk Taddington 31/10/2021

 Chris S. led a 1st 5.5 mile walk from Taddington to Chelmorton to Flagg return for the short distance group then 2nd  another 5.5 miles Taddington to Taddington field , Brushfield Hough, Brushfield, Highdale, Taddington return. Only 6 walkers set out on a very bad weather forecast. Despite high wind and heavy rain to begin with after an hour there was a calm and some sunshine and in the afternoon only the occasional shower. It was very slippery underfoot but 4 members did the whole walk 10.5miles and were glad they ignored the forecast.

Walk Compstall 28/10/2021

 Brian B. led a Thurday walk from Compstall  visitor to the weir then climbed steadily through Ernocroft Woods up to the Glossop Road and on to Brown Low. Then headed towards Chew and Botham’s Hall before following the Tameside Way up onto Werneth Low return (no stories or photos yet)

 Steve & Alison Weaver led a Thursday walk from Marple Bridge past Roman lakes, Strines, Brook Bottom, Mellor Cross, Linnet Clough return. 7.5miles 21 members, 1 prospect, 1 dog, enjoyed a mild day.

WALK Theiveley Pike 10/10/2021

Harvey and Helen B. led a walk from Holme Chapel at Cliviger gorge (between Burnley and Todmorden) up to Theiveley Pike SE on Burnley way, ENE, Portsmouth, ENE again, NW Black Scout Return Holme Chapel. All went into the pub garden of the Ram Inn. 10 members enjoyed a mild day.

Walk Disley 03/10/2021

 Adele led a walk from Disley along the Gritstone trail then off at the Moorside along reservoir then under Todd Brook Dam to Whaley Bridge return along the Peak Forest Canal. A day of mixed weather some sun, cloud, windy higher up, showers, some heavy rain. 9 miles, 22members, 2 prospects, 2 dogs.
