 John H. hosted SWOGs monthly visit to Stockport Market Place meeting at 20.30hrs in the glass house to listen to the band then at 21.00hrs at the Petersgate Tap.

 Steve W led a Wednesday evening walk from Nelson Pit through fields and lanes returning via Macclesfield canal. 3.5 miles, 20 members enjoyed a cool evening wet underfoot from the afternoons rain. Some went into the Boars Head pub after the walk.

19.30hrs. 14/06/2023 John E. led a Wednesday evening walk from Brabyns brow Marple to Chadkirk Ashton canal return. 22 members enjoyed a warm summer evening. Some went to the Norfolk arms afterwards.

11/06/2023 Jack M. led a walk on the Wirral from Caldy up to the view point then to West Kirby then onto Hilbre Island where seals were watching us watching them return. Afterwards some went for a drink. 19 members and 1 prospect enjoyed a very warm sunny day.

 Sunday 04/06/2023 Chris S. led a walk from Stalybridge country park SK15 3HA. 9 members and 2 prospects enjoyed a sunny, dry, warm, clear day.

Route = Hartley street, E. through Country Park, N. Walkerwood Reservoir dam. E. then NE. Brushes, 2 Swineshaw Reservoirs. NW. over moor, N. follow (PBW) Pennine Bridle Way 2.5 miles to L. turn. NW. Roaches. S. Tame Valley Way then S. Huddersfield narrow canal. Through the 188M long dark Scout canal tunnel after 1 mile L. turn SE. at Millbrook road bridge Grove road return.
