Fourteen members of the group
enjoyed a fairly leisurely walk around the periphery of Buxton. Starting from
Poole's Cavern car park, the group climbed to Solomon's Temple for views over
the town. After descending to a lunch stop by the River Wye, the walk continued
along the track of the former Cromford and High Peak Railway before descending
over Cavendish Golf Club and back into Buxton. Afternoon tea was taken in the
Pavilion Gardens tea room.
