Walk Bleaklow 14/10/2018

Ann D. led a walk over Bleaklow .

Ann wrote:- Sunday’s walk climbs up from Old Glossop along Doctor’s Gate. We leave the main path before it reaches the Pennine Way and take a delightful path which contours the hillside and then climb up a gentle slope to the trig point at Higher Shelf Stones. There will be time for a brief visit to  a nearby aircraft crash site before crossing the moor to the Herne Stones and Wain Stones. The route then crosses to the Pennine Way passing Bleaklow Head and continuing to Glossop Low before descending to Old Glossop via Cock Hill.
