Walk Marsden 19/08/2018

In a change to the published program Cary led a walk around Marsden moors 19/08/2018.

Cary wrote :- You can guarantee a turnout of at least 3 people for a SWOG Sunday walk if the forecast has a named storm. Ernesto blew us about a bit and chucked a bit of rain, but we also had plenty of sunshine.
A main feature of the day were the sweet, plump blackberries growing alongside the “Yorkshire lavadas” (Jack’s naming) and lanes.
The main reason for the route was to finish the walk back into Marsden along Deer Hill Conduit: a high balcony above the Wessenden valley, but we tired of the wind and followed the lower Pennine Way route instead.
