Walk Scafell Pike 14/06/2015

Chris H. led an ambitious day out with most of the group topping out on Scafell Pike . There were several new walkers who joined us via the meet up site.

Seventeen people attended the walk, with a further two, Sue E. and her
sister making a shorter, but still impressive walk around the Langdale
fells.

The main party took a route, starting in Langdale, ascending via
Rosset Ghyll to Angle Tarn. From there we progressed to Esk Hause,
making a final push southwards along the Rocky ridge to Scafell Pike.

Fifteen people made it to the summit, all of whom had the privilege of
being the highest people above sea level in the whole of England, for
a few minutes at least.

A warm welcome to all the new members who played a fantastic part in
making the day successful and enjoyable.

Total distance 12 miles / 18 Kilometers
