19.30hrs 0209/2022 Jack arranged a Thai meal for 12 of us at the Art of Siam at Marple and then afterwards we went into the Traders pub at Marple.

Walk Torrs 01/09/2022
John E. led a Thursday walk from The Torrs at New Mills over to Hayfield back along the Sett Valley trail. 10 members enjoyed a warm day. Some went into the Shrub club pub afterwards.

Steve H. and Gill R. led a Wednesday evening walk around Styal woods . 24 members + 2 prospects + 1 dog enjoyed a warm evening, 4 miles. Some went into the Ship Inn afterwards.

3 Nights at Trefeglwys Hostel 26 to 29/08/2022
11 members stayed at a 300 year old Timber framed hostel at Trefeglwys in Powys. We had excellent sunny warm bank holiday weather. We walked every day and unfortunately had to modify routes due to too many footpaths missing and closures but also new ones not on the OS. We ate out Saturday and Sunday evenings at pubs at Lladidloes.
There were too many complaints about the accommodation. It was dirty, too many insects, arachnids and mouse shit. The wood burner and fireplace were unusable (nest in the flue). Despite all this we all got on and had the best time that we could.
