Jayne wrote :- Route from White House pub Blackstone Edge post code OL15 0LG We walk part of the Pennine way and Pennine bridleway, passing several reservoirs before descending to the Rochdale Canal, we walk along the canal until we reach the highest cut of the canal. At bridge 42 we turn left over canal and follow the Pennine bridleway on to open moors past an animal sanctuary before climbing back up to the car parking area ( 600 feet of ascent) This walk is classed as mostly easy. Pub at the end for refreshments if required. The walk is 8 miles
