 Mike & Judith L. led a Thursday walk over Kinder, 17members & 1 dog enjoyed a warm clear day that started to rain just as we returned. 7 hilly miles.

 John E. hosted a ten pin bowling night at Parrs Wood and then afterwards at the Gateway Weatherspoons pub.

Wales Bank Holiday W/E 28/08/2023

25th to the  28th August 2023. Harvey and Helen B. organised an August Bank Holiday S/C W/E at 4 apartments at Rhayader in Mid Wales. Some visited Powys castle on the way there. 20 members walked on the 1st day. Some ate at the Triangle pub on Saturday night. Most ate in on Sunday.

 John H. hosted SWOGs monthly visit to Stockport Market Place meeting at 20.00hrs in the glass house to listen to the band then at 21.00hrs at the Petersgate Tap.

Walk Macc Forest 20/08/2023

 Jayne M. led a Sunday walk from Clough House car park (near Wildboarclough) around the Macclesfield forest area. 18 members 4 prospects enjoyed a warm sunny day. 7 split off on an easier route only to meet 2 other members enjoying a prewalk reccie. Some went to the Stanley Arms pub afterward whilst some others went to the Purple Pokura in Hazel grove for an evening curry.)

 Jayne M. led a Thursday walk from Clough house car park around Lyme Park area. 7miles, 15 members, 1 dog and 1 prospect enjoyed a warm sunny day. Some went in the Boars Head Higher Poynton after the walk.

 Steve B. led a Wednesday evening walk. From Marple Bridge up Brabyns N. up along the Marple lock flight then Peak Forest Canal then E. to Roman Lakes return. 25 members + 1 prospect enjoyed a warm dry evening.

02/08/2023 Nigel & Sue led a Wednesday evening walk from Disley. 12 members enjoyed a 3 mile walk. It started quite wet but soon we did not need our umbrellas.
