Walk Teggs Nose 30/01/2022

 Chris H. had covid and Peter H. offered to lead a walk from Teggs Nose Country Park through Macclesfield forest to Shutlingsloe hill. A clear crisp morning was followed by a cold windy afternoon, 11 members 10 miles.

Pub Night The Hope 21/01/2022

 At 20.00hrs. John E. Hosted a pub night at the Hope micro brewery pub on the A6 at Heaton Norris Stockport. Lots of different Foolhardy beers on tap. Sadly the pub is soon to close.

Walk Bleaklow 16/01/2022

 Steve H. planned to walk from Old Glossop onto Bleaklow moor, Lightside, Yellowslacks, Dog Rock, aircraft wrecks, Shelf moor, James Thorn, Mossy Lea farm return. Mist covered the route, at Yellowslacks one person took ill with exhaustion and 2 of the party accompanied helped them with a steady early return. The rest of the group continued with the walk. 11 walkers.

Walk Brook Bottom 13/01/2022

 Shaun S. led a Thursday walk from High Lane to Strines to Brook Bottom to Marple return 8 miles. 30 walkers enjoyed a clear day with good views. It was very cold at the start but soon warmed up.

Walk Whaley Bridge 09/01/2022

 Jack M. cried off with covid +ve so others led his walk from Whaley bridge canal to Buxworth Basin, then Eccles Pike, Coombes, Taxal , Todd Brook dam return 7.75 miles. So navigation by committee was entertaining and we went a little bit wrong from Jacks intention . Weather was better than the forecast 21 and 1 puppy set out and after several escapes 14 finished.

Moffat 30/12/2021 to 02/01/2022

Jack M. organised a hostel trip to Moffat for 4 nights. There should have been 30 of us but 2 had to drop out because of +ve Covid. Graham B. , Jack M. , Harvey & Helen B. led walks. Jack M. arranged a train trip to Edinburgh. Some had meals out in town some self catered. Some played board games and cards. The weather was windy wet but  mild temperature.
