Starting at 10.30 meeting at the Cenotaph in Disley outside the Rams Head SK12 2EA.
We walk up old Buxton Road and turn right at the White Horse Pub, up the hill past the old Quaker House, onto the Gritstone Trail, past Disley Kennels, right into Bollinhurst Bridge, following the bridleway. We then cross some fields, crossing the road and up on to Black Rocks then following the markers drop down into Newtown cross over A6 on to the canal for the walk back to Disley.
7.5 miles. Walk leader Jayne.

Pub Night the Arden Arms Stockport outdoor area 20.30hrs. 28/04/2021 . Only 8 people turned out on a cold evening.
Harvey & Helen B. led a walk from the car park at N. end of Rudyard lake, Anti clockwise to the S. end, Churnet Way, cross A523, Abbey Green, S, then E, Nature reserve, through town park up to Edward the confessors 13C. church, W, along old cobbled pathways, W. to disused railway line, NW to Rudyard return. Sport England covid rules were followed. 19 members enjoyed a very sunny day spoiled only slightly by an occasional cold breeze. 12 miles.
Pub Night The Arden Arms beer garden Stockport Wednesday 20.30hrs. 21/04/2021. Only 6 turned out on a very cold clear night. We had to check in, wear face nappies when moving and have a maximum of 6 to a table, the heated area was too busy until much later.
Peter H. & Janet H. led 2 walks from Hayfield bus terminus. We were all a tad late setting off due to roadworks on the A6 at Disley.
Janet H. led 7 members on a 7.5 mile walk over Lantern Pike, little Hayfield and then Royal Hotel outside drinking area. (photos please)
Peter H. led a walk up the Snake path, Shooting cabin, 11ses at White Brow, Sandy Hays, lunch at Kinder Downfall, S. Trig point at Kinder Low, W. Kinder Low End, Tungstead Clough farm, W. through campsite, cross Sett river then meet the others at the Royal Hotel. 13 members, 6 new members & 1 dog enjoyed a mild sunny day, very dry under foot, 10 miles.
Chris H. led a Thursday walk from Strines E. to Fox Inn at Brook Bottom S then E. to New Mills Golf Club N Castle Edge lane almost to the Moorside then W. to Mellor Church S to Linnets Clough W Roman Lakes S to Strines, 13 members adhered to Sport England Covid precautions enjoyed a warm sunny spring day 7.5 miles.
20.30hrs. 14/04/2021 15 members met in the outdoor area of the Arden arms Stockport. The pub management made us sit in groups of a maximum of 6 at all times and wear masks when moving around and table service only.
Chris and Janet H led , Chris H. wrote:- "A 9.5 mile walk with two ascents. Meet at the car park at the top of Joel Lane, Gee Cross, 10:15 am. The walk takes us down to the River Etherow, then past the tumulus on Chisworth Moor, then to Mill Brow and returns via Etherow Park."
Complying with covid guidance 24 of us enjoyed a clear cold start with good views of the high snow-capped moors, only in late afternoon did we recieve a light dusting of snow. After a stop at Etherow park, 5 decided to take an easier way back.
John E. led a 12 mile and Jack M. led a 7 mile walks from Millers Dale station on a clear Easter Sunday. complying with Sport England covid rules 7 members and 1 prospect and Coco the cocker did the 12 mile route whilst 7 members did the 7 mile route.
Harvey and Helen Bell led a Good Friday walk from Redesmere N then W through Capesthorne Hall N Alderley E then S return. Adhering to Sport England Covid advice 10 members and 1 prospect enjoyed a warm spring day 11 miles.
Peter & Sue H. organised 2 Thursday circular walks (1 clockwise & 1 anti), starting from Pym Chair and taking in Shining Tor, Stakeside, secret chapel. 11 members 7 miles. A very cold wind caused us to wrap up well .
