Chapel le Dale Weekend 26 to 28/07/2019

John E. organised a bunk house weekend at Chapel-le Dale near Ingleton. Some arrived early and did a 8 mile walk .Graham B. arrived early and did the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Friday night some ate at the Hill Inn the rest self catered some visited the Hill Inn for a drink. Saturday some walked over Ingleborough to Ingleton where some visited the Craven Heifer pub, all returned via the old Roman road. Others visited tourist sites. Saturday was warm and fine until 1pm when the rain set in. Sunday morning was very misty and drizzly until 10.30 when it cleared to give a warm but cloudy day. On Sunday only 6 walked to the Ribble Head viaduct the rest did a train trip to Kirby Stephen
20 members enjoyed the weekend.

Walk Dunham Park 24/07/2019

Nigel and Sue E. led a Wednesday evening walk from the Swan with two Knecks pub at Little Bollington into Dunham Massey Park Dunham village then canal return. Some went into the pub afterwards. 22 members enjoyed a hot summer evening.

Walk Clwydian Hills 21/07/2019

Sunday 21/07/2019, Chris H. led a walk around the Clwydian hills, following part of the Offas Dyke path, with good views of Liverpool, the Wirral, NorthWales coast and Snowdonia. 10 members and 1 dog enjoyed a mainly dry warm day.

Steve & Allison W. hosted 20:30hrs 12/07/2019, a pub night at the Puss in Boots pub at Offerton  Stockport. Some arrived early and ordered the carvery meal.

Walk Dane Valley 11/07/2019

Steve and Sue B. led a Thursday walk from Danebridge/ Winkle towards Gradbach then Luds church then following the river Dane back to Danebridge, 7 miles, 10 members enjoyed a warm muggy showery day.

Walk Poynton 10/07/2019

Adele B. led a Wednesday evening walk from Poynton Civic Hall, E. Princes Incline, S. Macclesfield Canal, E. Middlewood Way, E. The Coppice, E. Ladies Incline Return. 5 miles, 27 members. Some went into the Farmers Arms after for a social drink.

07/07/2019 In a change to the published program, Harvey and Helen B. led a walk from Ladderedge country park at Leek, S. Caldon Canal, SE. Flint Mill, SE. Basford Bridge, E. Combs Valley, N. RSPB reserve, N. Egg Well, NW. Billington, W. Barnfields return. 20 members and 2 dogs enjoyed a warm dry sunny day but struggling many times through very poorly maintained stiles.
