At Hazel Grove Civic Hall 19/09/2018 20:00hrs. Phil W. gave a talk with computer photo projector about his trips in England and Wales focusing mainly on architecture and history. A few Photos at the end of the talk were about Chinese terracotta warriors on loan to the U.K.

Walk Cown Edge 13/09/2018
Steve and Alison W. (Alison was called away) So Steve led a Thursday walk from Mill Brow Marple Bridge along the Cown Edge way. At Charlesworth we stopped at Woodside Café/restaurant for teas and coffee. 12 members enjoyed a pleasant warm dry day with a chilly wind on the tops.

Walk Whaley to Buxton 09/09/2018
In a change to the published program due to Mark B. work commitments, Sandra H. and Jack M. stepped up to lead a linear walk from Whaley Bridge to Buxton. Then in Buxton some went for a drink and some had a meal.
Route :- Following the new Peak District Boundary path all the way.
Whaley Bridge to Todd Brooke reservoir, S to Taxal church E then S following river Goyt. South east bank of Fernilee then Errwood Reservoirs E then S along disused railway line. At Bishops lane left E then S through Cavendish Golf course, into Pavilion Gardens The Kings Head and nearby café for drinks and food. Then bus 199 back to Whaley Bridge. A mostly warm dry day but with one Heavy down pour on the moor above Buxton. 16 members + 1 non/ prospective + Chester the dog.

Walk Appley Bridge 02/09/2018
02/09/2018 John E. led a walk from Appley Bridge near Wigan. We did a W circuitous route through Dalton joined the Leeds Liverpool canal to Parbold where we lunched. The Parbold festival was in full flow with music, processions, fairground rides, bunting, food stalls. From Parbold N to Hunters hill then E to Asheton monument return to Appley Bridge via Fairy Glen. 18 members + 1 non member + 2 Springer spaniels. Back at Appley Bridge some went in the Bridge Inn. Although advertised at 11.5 miles due to navigational errors we did 14miles.
