Walk Whaley Bridge 23/04/2017

Paul and Pam D. led a walk from Whaley Bridge to Windgather rock, then pyms chair, the Cat and Fiddle then down Goyt valley back to Whalley. 12 miles .A very sunny day.

Easter Weekend at Hadrians Wall 13/04/2017

John G. organised a 4 night stay in an independant hostal at Heddon on the Wall Northumberland.
Friday 14 april we did a walk to Pudhoe Castle. Saturday 15 April Some did a linear walk along Hadrians Wall and some went to Bewley. Saturday night we had a meal out at the Swan.
Sunday we did a linear walk along the wall inclement weather forced us into the Milecastle Inn.

Walk Flash 09/04/2017

Jack m. led a walk around Flash
Jack Wrote....On what turned out to be a magnificent sunny day, we set out from Flash, the highest village in Great Britain. There were 29 of us including three that we welcomed from 'Meetup', Initially we walked downhill to Gradbach. We had to negotiate a rather tricky stream, but the only casualty was some mud on Linda's trousers. A climb over the hill took us to Wildboarclough before returning via Three Shire Heads with its attractive Pannier Bridge. A final climb up hill took us back to Flash where most of us took brief refreshments at the pub.

Walk Hope and Win Hill 02/04/2017

John G led a walk around Hope and Win Hill.

John wrote...There was a good turnout for the walk on Sunday. Starting at Hope we followed the steep route via Titchfield farm to the summit of Win Hill. Brilliant views! It was a lovely sunny and warm spring day and with the day's climbing over we enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the ridge  to Hope Cross. After lunch we descended via Jagger Clough and returned along a gentle path in the valley to Hope where we refreshed ourselves in a beer garden to round off a great day out
