Bollington Walk 18/01/2015

Sue & Pete H. led a walk from Bollington up to White Nancy then Kerridge, Brookhouse, Rainhill then return to the Poachers pub in Bollington for Sunday roast.

Pub Night 16/01/2015

Chris and Heather hosted a pub night at The Puss in Boots pub in Stockport. 17 people decided to have the carvery meal another 7 joined us afterwards for drinks.

Talk Manchester Docks 14/01/2015

At Hazel Grove Civic Hall, Guest Speaker Derek Brumhead, Historian from New Mills gave a talk about the history and recent redevelopment of Manchester Docks now called Salford Quays.

Walk Birch Vale 11/01/2015

Denise C. kindly stepped in to lead a walk from Birch vale over to Chinley, Hayfield stop at the Royal Pub then return. ( The walk should have been led by Pauline we hope you get well soon).

Excellent pictures of redwoods Yosemite and Sonora National Parks and coastlines.

New Year in Qawra Malta

Some of the group spent New Year week in  Malta and Gozo. We stayed in Qawra at 3 different hotels all very close the bus station for ease of travel. The weather sadly was not what was usual for the season and we had storms as well as sunshine. We walked from Salina bay around Qawra and all of St. Pauls bay . Some walked Mellieha bay to Xemxija. Some did historical city walks. Some walked Gneja bay north to Anchor bay ( Popeyes village ) then to Mellieha bay. Some did a walk along Marfa ridge.

Most did a walk from the ferry terminal at Mgarr on Gozo to Sannat then Taxi to Xlendi for drinks or meal and sunset.
We all spent New Years eve first in the Music Bar of the Canifor Hotel then later in the Disco at Images pub at Salina Bay.
